It’s been a while since we did one of these blogs, and it’s a shame because I love doing them.
If you’re unfamiliar with the whole Newspaper Poetry segment of the blog, basically I cut some words out of a magazine/tabloid to make some poetry. It’s kind of fun and it’s sparks some ideas for actual poems.
Enough with the introduction, here are some of the latest pieces I came up with. Hope you like them.
Artist’s Date
Your poetry is written in stone.
Open your eyes,
for the lights.
Drawing Back the Sheets
Love is drawing back the sheets
to meet the magic
in this wonderful world.
It’s a Funny Old World
The end point…
is in your eyes.
Love me in this world.
Forget your head stone.
Love in the Spotlight
Open your love letters…
For this abandoned poetry,
is smiling for me.
The Mystery in This World
Don’t give up your life
for three little words.
Love is this great
abandoned end point.
Three Little Words
I wish I’d known,
the three little words
written in your eyes.
